Talk to hypnotist Ian Smith today.

Lose Weight The Easy Way

Managing your weight doesn’t have to be tedious or for that matter difficult. Many people often make the mistake of over-complicating things when it comes to slimming down. Keep things simple. Make a conscious effort to stay away from fast foods, reduce the portion size of food on your plate and get back to basics by just getting out more for long walks.

Health Benefits Of Losing Weight

Losing weight can promote great health benefits:

  • Your cholesterol will be reduced.
  • Your blood sugar levels will go back to normal.
  • You will lower your blood pressure.
  • There will be less stress on your joints.
  • You will be less likely to get diabetes.
  • Your confidence in yourself will increase.
  • Your fitness levels will dramatically improve.
  • There is less of a chance of having a heart attack.
  • Your sex life will be amazing.
  • Life in general will be much better.
  • You will be able to fit in to the clothes that you have always wanted to wear.

Create A Weight Loss Plan

Your plan does not have to be boring. There are plenty of varieties of healthy foods that will help you to lose weight. Have a look at some of the weight management forums online where there are some fantastic weight control tips and ideas. In reality you will discover that you can actually eat anything you desire as long as it’s in moderation. Some of the foods that are really good to eat when slimming down are foods like berries, fish, chicken, grapefruit, milk, turkey and cereals. These are just a few of the many wonderful foods which you can buy to help you lose those extra pounds.

Is There A Quick Way To Lose Weight?

Yes there are many different ways to lose weight quickly but none of them are healthy for a person. Do not opt for what you believe to be an easy option. Do not fool yourself, It’s a simple equation. You must simply exercise to burn of more calories than you are consuming to lose weight. Fad diets, starvation diets and many of the weight loss products that are available to buy are just a temporary fix. You must eliminate the reasons as to why you are overeating which is why hypnotherapy for weight loss is incredibly effective.

Weight Loss Products

There are an incredible amount of weight loss products on the market. The weight loss industry is absolutely massive. Many of these products promise quick and easy weight reduction in an incredible short period of time. Anyone who is desperate to lose weight will find them very appealing but do not be fooled by them. Most of these weight loss products are absolutely useless and in many cases very expensive. This is why you should consider hypnotherapy for weight loss combined with healthy eating and regular exercise.

Weight Loss Tips

There are many weight loss tips available which can be found in weight loss magazines, weight loss programs or weight loss forums online. Many of them are just absolute rubbish. The people offering these weight loss tips on many occasions have very little experience or professional qualifications to be able to help people. Your doctor will be able to give you all the weight loss advice that you need and will be able to recommend the right health professionals for you to make an appointment to see.

Many doctors now understand that many weight loss issues are caused by psychological and emotional problems. On many occasions they now refer people who have weight problems to qualified hypnotherapists who offer hypnotherapy for weight loss.

Forget about Weight Watchers, Slimming World, the Atkins diet, grapefruit diets, soup diets and low fat diets. Use hypnotherapy for weight loss combined with healthy eating and regular exercise.

Weight Loss Shakes

Most weight loss shakes lack fiber. Fiber is incredibly important when you are slimming down. Fiber helps you feel full and stabilizes the insulin levels in the body when the sugar enters the bloodstream.

Some fruit smoothies do contain fiber from the pulp of the fruit but by far a better plan would be to eat the actual fruits instead.

Listed below are a few of the weight loss shakes that are available to buy:

  • GNC Total Lean.
  • Herbalife Nutritional Shake.
  • Slim Fast.
  • Medifast.

Weight Loss Programs

There are many different weight loss programs available for a person to choose from. Its vital that you choose the best weight loss program that is tailored to your specific needs. You must also be committed to seeing your weight loss program through to the end. Hypnotherapy will help you to boost your determination to do so. You must include healthy eating and regular exercise in to your weight loss program.

Hypnotherapy For Weight Control

Hypnotherapy for weight loss is becoming more accepted by healthcare professionals as a very effect way to lose weight. A professional hypnotherapist will use their experience and skills to discover the reasons as to why someone is overweight. When the emotional problems and psychological problems are eliminated the hypnotist will then work on using hypnosis to create healthier alternatives to eating fatty foods and then help with confidence building and increasing a persons motivation to succeed.

Using hypnotherapy for weight issues a hypnotherapist can also work with the client to overcome the cravings for particular types of food which contain too much sugar and fat. You will be pleasantly surprised just how easy it is to lose weight when you use hypnotherapy for weight loss combined with healthy eating and 15 – 20 minutes of daily exercise.

Gastric Band Hypnosis

Gastric band hypnosis has become very popular in recent years. Yet there seems to be very little evidence available that actually proves that this type of technique works. In my opinion gastric band hypnosis is nothing more than a gimmick.

I have yet to see any real evidence provided by any hypnotherapist who uses the technique.

There is nothing wrong with the tried and tested ways of using hypnotherapy for weight control which have been scientifically proven to be very useful in conjunction with regular exercise and healthy eating to aid people in losing weight.

Stress can affect a person’s body in many different ways. Some of the signs of stress won’t necessarily be noticeable, whereas many others are very noticeable by your friends, family and work colleagues. Sometimes it hard to accept the fact that the symptoms are causing you to become very irritable and angry with the people that you care about.

You don’t have to suffer from feelings of doom or gloom anymore. It is possible with hypnotherapy training to control stress when you come across it.

Stress Management

Stress management has to start by identifying the triggers that cause the horrible physical feelings. Some of these triggers can actually be recorded within the subconscious mind from childhood experiences which cause problems as an adult. Hypnotherapy for stress management can be used to discover the triggers and eliminate them.

For stress management we have to take control of our thoughts, our environment and our emotions.

Stress Reduction In The Workplace

Stress management and anxiety reduction in the workplace is very important. If employees are feeling stressed because of family problems or financial worries they will be less productive when it comes to their job. It’s important for managers to implement ways to reduce stress at work and to do as much as they can to help with personal problems on an individual level.

Where possible managers can organize some team building exercises which are fun that are away from the workplace.

Stress Management Techniques

Stress management techniques are superb for all people of all ages. Children and adults can all benefit from learning hypnotherapy for stress management. Adults in the workplace that need help can practice the techniques learnt from a hypnotherapist during their lunch break. It doesn’t take a long period of time to practice.
A person can eliminate their anxiety in under fifteen minutes.

Are There Any Other Techniques To Treat Stress?

There are of course other alternative ways to reduce stress that are available, such as deep breathing techniques, (EFT) emotional freedom technique, (TFT) thought field therapy and meditation.

A good way to combat stress is to use a combination of all these techniques with hypnotherapy for stress management.

Quit Smoking Using Hypnosis Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy To Stop SmokingQuitting smoking will probably the the best decision that you will ever make. Most likely you will save your own life and add another ten wonderful years to your life.

It doesn’t matter if you have tried many of the online smoking products like nicotine patches or electronic cigarettes and failed to quit.

Many people discover after trying many different ways to stop without success, that hypnotherapy is the best way to quit for good.

Are You Ready To Quit?

It is incredibly important that you are really ready to quit. Its no good attempting to stop for other people. If you try to quit cigarettes or tobacco for your wife, husband or children the likelihood is that you will go back to using cigarettes.

You must quit for YOU.

Find the strongest reason to give up abusing tobacco within yourself. If you love sport just imagine what it would be like to have to give up that sport because of illness or not being able to breath in sufficient oxygen to keep you fit and healthy. If you care about your appearance, Imagine what it would be like to have lip cancer, mouth cancer or throat cancer.

Benefits Of Quitting

Here are a few of the huge amount of benefits of quitting smoking:

  • Your blood pressure will return to normal.
  • You will stop poisoning yourself with the known 4800 harmful chemicals that are in cigarettes.
  • You reduce the risks of having a heart attack or stroke.
  • You reduce the risk of getting lung cancer.
  • The possibility of having breathing problems are dramatically reduced.
  • You will no longer smell of the toxic chemicals.
  • Your clothes will be clean.
  • Your car and home will be toxin free.
  • Non-smokers are more attractive to the opposite sex.
  • You will be able to get a better deal from a health insurance company.
  • Your family will thank you for stopping smoking.
  • You will no longer be anti-social when out with friends and family, having to go outside for a cigarette.

Smoking When Pregnant

Its vital for women to quit when they find out that they are pregnant. Women who stop using cigarettes when pregnant reduce their risk of harming their unborn child and also having a low birth weight baby. The sooner a woman gives up using cigarettes, the better for them and their child. Using cigarettes can cause many different problems for a baby’s health. The toxins can cause stillbirth, respiratory problems because of the lack of oxygen that the baby needs to grow as well as miscarriages.

Don’t wait until it’s too late.

Going “Cold Turkey”

Going “cold turkey” for many people is the first way that they try to give up smoking. They quickly discover that they find it very stressful and incredibly hard to do.

Going “cold turkey” takes a lot of willpower.

The reason that many people fail using this method is because it’s done at a conscious level in the thinking mind. As soon as a person stops thinking about quitting, the mind reverts back to the subconscious part of the mind where the bad habits associated with smoking cigarettes are recorded. The other thing to remember is that willpower is very weak in most people. The more times willpower is used in an attempt to change a habit, behavior or emotion, the weaker the will becomes.

This is why you see smokers that have attempted to quit cigarettes many times last for only a short period of time without a cigarette.

Stop Smoking Tips

There are many different stop smoking tips that you will discover on many of the quit smoking forums online.

Here are a few of them:

  • Drink plenty of water. Many people who smoke cigarettes are actually dehydrated and confuse the physical feelings of dehydration with that of a craving for a cigarette.
  • Keep yourself busy during the times that you would normally smoke.
  • Ask family members for some support.
  • Repeatedly give yourself encouragement by quietly repeating affirmations about how good it is to be a non-smoker.
  • Reward yourself by going out for a nice meal with your family with the additional money that you are not wasting on cigarettes.
  • Go out for long walks with your friends or family where you will benefit from breathing in wonderful fresh air in to your lungs.
  • Treat yourself to some special item that you have always wanted.
  • Find yourself a hobby where you can remain fit and active.
  • Do the best that you can to stay away from other people who smoke socially. You don’t want to be constantly reminded about cigarettes or tobacco.

Hypnotherapy To Quit Smoking

Hypnotherapy is by far the best way to quit. Many people that have tried many other methods like medication, stop smoking pills and tablets on many occasions only try hypnotherapy as a last resort. They quickly discover just how easy it is to quit using stop smoking hypnosis and wish that they had done so many years ago.

Hypnotherapy helps to change the smoking habits at a subconscious level in the mind.

Clinical hypnotherapy is then used to boost the person’s determination to never smoke again by giving positive suggestions of living a healthier life.

Hypnosis Hypnotherapy

Hypnosis Hypnosis is an amazing tool which is being used more and more by many healthcare professionals from all around the world. Many top company CEO’s use it, professional athletes use it and so do many incredibly successful business men and women in all different types of businesses. Learning how to use the “tool” of hypnosis in business and everyday life is incredibly important. People that practice self-hypnosis on a daily basis really understand the true power of using the different self-development techniques. Sadly many people are really not too familiar with the whole process and become quite fearful of it because of what they see in stage hypnosis.

In reality there is absolutely nothing to fear at all.

Hypnosis Is Free

Hypnotism is a very natural phenomenon in all animals and humans. It takes place when someone is concentrating on something internally in the mind or externally on a focal point. The phenomenon is now being widely used in many different aspects of health care. Thankfully doctors, surgeons and dentists are now becoming more aware of the benefits of using hypnosis for pain management, self-development and treating addictions.

Many doctors now are starting to refer their patients to professional hypnotherapists in their local areas.

Scientists And Hypnotism

For many decades scientists have been opposed to the use of hypnotism in therapy. They viewed the phenomenon as just being party tricks and of no value at all to the medical profession. Thankfully to the persistence of some of the great historical figures that practiced hypnotism, it has now become recognized by members of the public as being a wonderful way to change unwanted, habits, behaviors and emotions.

History Of Hypnotism

At the end of the 19th century hypnosis had become a very popular phenomenon due to Charcot’s public hypnotism sessions. Hypnotism was incredibly important in the invention of psychoanalysis by Sigmund Freud who was a student of Charcot. Freud later privileged to witness some experiments of Liébeault and Hippolyte Bernheim in Nancy. When he went back to Vienna he developed abreaction therapy with Josef Breuer.

Where Did The Term Come From?

The term “hypnosis” (Greek: ὕπνωσις) comes from the Greek word hypnos, “sleep”, and the suffix osis, or from hypnoō, “(I) put to sleep” (stem of aorist hypnōs ) and the suffix is. The words “hypnosis” and “hypnotism” both derive from the term “neuro hypnotism” (nervous sleep) coined by the Scottish surgeon James Braid in the 1841. Braid based his practice on that which was developed by Franz Anton Mesmer and his followers which is where we get the terms (“Mesmerism” or “animal magnetism”).

Modern Day Hypnotism

In modern day times it is assumed that a hypnotist or hypnotherapist can communicate with the a person’s subconscious mind where all of that person’s habits, behaviors and emotions are stored when the individual is in what is commonly known as “trance”. Many hypnotists believe that a certain depth of trance has to be achieved to create permanent change.

Allot of good therapeutic work can be done in the “waking state” in conversation with the client. It takes many years of experience for most hypnotherapists and hypnotists to be able to naturally know what depth of trance a subject is in. One amazing hypnotist in particular (Dave Elman) was the first person to create a hypnosis induction by design to achieve somnambulism which also had built in tests for depth of trance.

What Can Hypnotism Be Used For?

Hypnosis can be used for a wide range of physical, psychological and emotional problems. Predominantly in the past the phenomenon was used mainly for pain relief. In Modern day times a skilled hypnotherapist can use hypnosis to overcoming fears, phobias and eating disorders like bulimia and anorexia. The more common uses for the phenomenon are for help with stop smoking, weight control and stress management.

Hypnosis For Weight Loss

When it comes to hypnosis for weight loss a hypnotherapist must use their experience to look for the reasons as to why their clients or overeating, binge eating or comfort eating. When the reasons are discovered hypnotherapy can then be used to eliminate the bad habits or in many cases emotional upset which is triggering off the desire to eat too much unhealthy, fatty foods.

What Is Self-Hypnosis?

All hypnosis is just self-hypnosis. Quite simply this is where the phenomenon is induced by yourself and then you give yourself your own positive suggestions which are associated with what it is that you want to change in your life. Self-hypnosis is not difficult to learn when you have a good instructor.

Self-Hypnosis Books

There are many different self-hypnosis books on the market. They tend to cover a wide range of topics. Many of these books start with by teaching you simple techniques and then progress the reader on to learning advanced self-hypnosis.

Alcohol Addiction

First and foremost even before hypnosis is used to beat alcohol addiction the addict must truly want to stop the alcohol abuse. The “triggers” that cause the desire to binge drink must be discovered and eliminated. Many clinics and rehab centers are now advocating the use of hypnotism for alcohol addiction.

Hypnosis Is Not Sleep

Hypnosis is most definitely nothing to do with sleep. It might look as if a person is asleep during a hypnotherapy session because their eyes are closed but it’s simply not the case. A person when in a hypnotherapy session is actually in a heightened state of mental awareness and knows exactly what is happening but can’t really be bothered to do anything physically or mentally unless they really wanted to.

Sometimes when people are practicing self-hypnosis it is possible to start off in the hypnotic state and then fall asleep if they are tired having had a very hard days work.

Anxiety Hypnotherapy Anxiety Hypnosis

Hypnotherapy AnxietyAnxiety is a very normal response to the many different situations that cause a person everyday stress. It is a very normal defensive mechanism in the mind. The feelings are there to keep us away from what the subconscious part of the mind considers to be a threat to a person’s survival.

This is commonly known as the “fight or flight response”. When the symptoms surface the individual person will either at all cost try to resolve the problem or in many cases run away from it.

This is why you should consider using hypnotherapy for anxiety.

Do You Suffer With:

  • Speaking in front of a large audience.
  • Doing a job interview.
  • Taking an exam or test.
  • When confrontation takes place with another person.
  • When worried about sexual performance.
  • When a person is surrounded by too many people.
  • When a person is forced into a situation at work or in a relationship.
  • Where a person has financial problems and are worried about money.

If you allow the symptoms to overwhelm you, it can and will interfere with many of your daily activities which can cause some very serious health problems.

Symptoms Of Anxiety

  • Irregular/racing heart beats.
  • Palpitations.
  • A rise in respiration.
  • Feeling faint or dizzy.
  • Sweating.
  • Muscle tension.
  • Physical aches and pains.
  • Upset digestive system which can cause severe diarrhea.
  • Vomiting.
  • Uncontrollable shaking.

Anxiety disorders are psychological disorders which are characterized by feelings of severe anxiety or fear. You quite often see the symptoms appear when someone is having an anxiety attack or panic attack.

Anxiety disorders can devastate a person’s social life and relationship with others if not immediately treated.

Social Anxiety Disorder

Social anxiety disorder (SAD) which is also known as social phobia is the avoidance of everyday situations where a person has to interact socially with other people. Social anxiety disorder can surface where the person has a fear of public speaking, being humiliated by someone or a fear of being embarrassed in front of other people.

Common Anxiety Disorders In Children

People with this disorder quite often see the problem manifest itself in symptoms of not being able to speak, blushing and profuse sweating. A very common disorder in children is school phobia. This is where the signs are very visible.

You can quite often see the signs where a child is being bullied by other children, doesn’t get along with their teacher, or finds the amount of work that they are being asked to complete unbearable.

One of the most common forms of a school anxiety disorder is where a child will avoid speaking in front of their classmates. This type of problem can be easily resolved by using hypnotherapy. A professional hypnotherapist like Ian Smith at Quays Clinic will be able to help you.

If you are booking an appointment for your child, a parent must accompany the child and remain with the child whilst the hypnotherapy session is taking place.

Anxiety Medication

There are many different types of medications prescribed by doctors. Unfortunately most of them are just a quick fix which come with many different side effects:

  • Alprazolam (Xanax).
  • Lorazepam (Ativan).
  • Diazepam (Valium).

Many people suffering from chronic anxiety quite often discover that they have to try many different types of medication until they find the one that seems to help them. This is where another problem surfaces. The person prescribed the drugs on many occasions become dependent upon taking the drug. After only a short period of time they need more of the same drug to get the same effect.

This is where addiction to medication begins.
